  • Excavator powers up

  • Xavier message:
    • Your job is to blast worthless junk
      (beat; sleuth emoticon)
      And excavate precious artifacts.

 

  • The screen auto-scrolls and
    HIGHLIGHTS 2 SURFACE ARTIFACTS.
  • A TUTORIAL MESSAGE appears 
    (with a graphic illustrating an intact artifact 
    and broken artifacts with a bone and relic inside): 
  • “EYES OPEN! Artifact casings contain
    either bones or relics, which can be used 
    as excavation tools.”
  • After Player clicks out of the message --

The Excavator is HIGHLIGHTED and a 
RADAR ICON is overlaid
A TUTORIAL MESSAGE appears (with a graphic 
illustration of the radar system -- 
launch and cancel): 
“BE INFORMED! Radar reveals hidden artifacts. 
Click on the grid to stop radar.”
  • X8VR stays at top of screen (home) during 
    his tutorial phase.
  • Radar scan reveals hidden artifacts
    • The reveal "bloom" is not persistent
    • Fades off screen after initial reveal

  • Bring the laser on at this point.
  • A TUTORIAL MESSAGE appear
    (with a graphic illustration of 
    the shooting system): 
  • “TAKE AIM! Excavator shots destroy 
    anything in their path, but they also 
    bounce off walls.”
  • After Player dismisses the message, 
    he takes shots until...
  • XAVIER (CONT’D)
    Excuse me. Hate to be a buzz-kill but...
    (beat; sheepish emoticon)
    I have a confession to make.

  • A TUTORIAL MESSAGE appears
    (with a graphic illustration of the energy bar
    and the energy feed from the solar panel):
  • “SHOOT WISELY! Energy is only replenished 
    periodically. To increase your efficiency, 
    shoot wisely.”

SeQ-08 Artifact Found + Relic Found

  • After Player dismisses the message, 
    he resumes shots. When Player exposes
    first HIDDEN ARTIFACT CASING -- *
  • XAVIER (CONT’D)
    An artifact! Wonder what’s inside?
    (curious emoticon)
  • A TUTORIAL MESSAGE appears
    (with a simple graphic illustrating the
    three states of casing damage, weak spots,
    etc.): “USE CAUTION! 
    To maximize the value of the bone or
    relic inside, target the casing weak spots.”
  • XAVIER (CONT’D)
    Those old teeth may look like junk...
    (beat; sly emoticon)
    But they have some real bite to them.
  • The CHATTERING TEETH ICON rises to the 
    Excavator,
  • A TUTORIAL MESSAGE appears
    (with a graphic illustration depicting
    how to select and deploy an instant relic):
  • “INSTANT ACTION! 
    Instant relics like this only require
    deployment for activation.”
OP  
  • After the player dismisses the message,
    he resumes shots. When player finds 
    second RELIC (dynamite). As they rise to
    the excavator inventory --
  • XAVIER (CONT’D)
    Woot! An explosive relic... *
    (beat; grinning emoticon)
    Now that’s what I’m talking about.
  • A message appears (with a graphic
    illustration depicting how to select and 
    deploy a triggered relic):
    “TRIGGER HAPPY! 
    Triggered relics like this require a 
    shot for activation.”
  • After Player dismisses the 
    message, he resumes shots...
 

 

  

SeQ-09 Finding the First Bone

  • Skeleton Artifact Casing in Level
  • Skeleton Casing is broken open in a dust puff
X8VR activates and we see the skeleton
revealed behind the dust puff
  • Bones come to the center of the screen and
    scale up.
  • Xavier Quick-scans the bones and comments

SeQ- 10 Archive Access

UVWX
  • X8VR stays in place as Archive list animates on
    • List initially shows all slots
    • What you found appears in top center 
      window
  • The player touches the ??? window/section
    to expand the accordion style slat
  • Reveals a silhouette shape
  • Downward scan - X8VR scans the silhouette 
    revealing bones
  • Complete first pass scan reveals 1 bone missing
Upward scan reveals an image: It's a Giant Moa

Scan completed - X8VR message prompt/hint

  • MOA image replaces the skeleton 
    image in the top center window

Note: After you find the last bone in the game you

  • repeat the sequence:
YZ  

Return to Archive after finding the last bone

Trading Card scan complete - X8VR message

    • Top Center image becomes the start of 
      the trading card
    • This image changes as the player selects 
      or taps each creature in
      the menu
    • When a creature is complete - 
      tap the TC image to view the card/animation

Archive expands and X8VR scans the MOA

    • Fill in the missing bone
    • reveal the Card BG
